Well we made it home! Boy, does it feel good. We get to see our parents and family and friends whenever. That's nice.
We are still getting adjusted to the time change. It's amazing how a small time difference such as 2 hours can mess with your body. We are going to bed at midnight Texas time, WA 10pm, and waking up at 10am Texas time, 8am WA time.
It's enjoyable though. We get to relax a little bit. A little mini vacation before we start doing stuff. We found a storage unit so now all we need to do is wait for the holidays to be over so we can contact the Army to have them transport our stuff for us.
The move went well. I was very surprised. Even though we only moved a few times, this was by far the best and smoothest. I just pray that nothing is broken when we go to move our stuff.
Major and Lulu adjusted to the new dogs ( Dad's dogs) just fine. We celebrated Christmas when we got here. We opened up our gifts from Karen and my Dad and Janna. FYI: Karen is my dad's girlfriend. They have been dating for a little bit. They actually knew each other in high school. Ironic.
She is super nice and sweet. She may not be mom ,and by no means is she replacing mom,but if there was anyone I would choose for Dad to continue to spend the rest of his life with ,now that Mom is gone, it would be Karen.
I know I have skipped quite a bit of details, but it's pretty late and I am going to have to save those details for another time.
I need to hit the sack. Tomorrow we are going to meet up with some of our friends we met in Korea who are from San Antonio. They are stationed in New York now.
Sorry for leaving the blog so blah but I will write again shortly.
